31 cadets took to the water last week and enjoyed a fabulous few days of sailing and fun. The weather was pretty much perfect for once and the instructors are now so well practised at running the two fleets, it really all ran like clockwork.  It was brilliant to see a fleet of 14 oppie sailors!

There were trips to the beach for picnics and a new sport of on the water netball which proved very popular, especially when it was girls against boys – no prizes for guessing who won that one!

The week was topped off with a superb BBQ on the Saturday night as well as a brilliant Gin Night.  The gin night raised £1,775 towards the recent spend on a new RIB so many thanks to all those who supported the event. 

A huge thank you to all the cadets and parents for making the week so special. And a special mention to the instructors who give up their time all season; to Ian Leavett for supporting us all week and running the BBQ; to Holly Ramsay for designing the hoodies; to Ceri Rogers for organising the gin night; to Cath Gaskell for organising the entire social side and to everyone else who helped make it a success.
