The Tollesbury Sailing Club 13th Annual Sloe Gin Competition was held on Saturday 11 March.

Nine Members entered, pitting the quality of their Sloe Gin against the competition. There was a period of intense concentration as the entrants tasted, studied clarity and colour of the entries and finally arrived at their score.

The fabulous blood red trophy was awarded by the Commodore to the winners, Wendy Boyden and Chris Peet, with Iain Boyden taking second place and John Carter third place.

Home made Sloe Gin Chocolate was also available.

Preparation for the 14th Sloe Competition will start in the autumn when competitors should pick their sloes.
